SBGA Ready for 2010 Advocacy Day

With the New Year rapidly approaching, so is a new Legislative session. SBGA leaders have spent the past several weeks preparing for our 2010 Advocacy Day, and registration materials are now available. Support your school facilities, and join us Wednesday, March 3 in Albany. All of the information and registration brochure can be found on the website.

Print copies of the registration brochure will only be mailed to SBGA Officers, State Directors, Chapter Presidents and members of the Legislative Committee as well as the SFMI Board. Please share this with your Chapter colleagues, and remember, Chapter Presidents are responsible for registering your members for this event.

Communications Update

We continue to take steps toward ensuring all of our members receive e-communications from SBGA and SFMI. In communicating the 2010 Advocacy Day, we're testing an e-marketing software program, Constant Contact. This program boasts high email deliverability rates due a no-tolerance spam policy. Constant Contact will track who receives and opens the email, as well as provide a report of bounce-backs.

Association staff will update you as the reports come in, and we ask that you remind your members to watch their Inbox for emails from both This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Year-end Business

As we enter the tail end of 2009, we're working to close the books on all of this year's accounts receivables. In early December letters and notices went out to all those with outstanding invoices. Please encourage your Chapter members to resolve any outstanding invoices with us as soon as possible, and contact Association headquarters if they have any questions regarding invoices.
