SFMI Meets with Empire State College, Bachelor Degree Program in the Works
Last month Peter Riggi, CDF, SBGA/SFMI Treasurer (Schuylerville CSD) and Rick Swist, Director of Strategic Planning & Policy, met with representatives of Empire State College (ESC) in Saratoga Springs. The purpose of this meeting was to begin to develop a school facilities management Bachelor's degree program, perhaps as early as the fall semester 2009.

ESC offers individualized degree programs based upon an applicant's needs and prior college-level credits. They envision using the MVCC certificate and associates degree programs, the CDF/ADP portfolios, and information on other SFMI programs as the foundation of their customized school facilities management degree program.

We're very excited about this recent development, and will keep you posted on our progress throughout the summer.
